In those moments, you realize the influential role sports play in your life. Whether you are the star of the team or one of the last people off the bench, sports teach you an infinite amount of lessons that you never forget as you progress through your life.
I have been playing competitive sports since I was five years old. At times, I was the star of the team. Other times, I found myself at the end of the bench. It was on those teams, when I was not one of the best, that I learned to appreciate sports much more and discovered my passion.
